Chelsea and Arsenal are battling for the transfer of Estevao Willian, known as “Little Messi”

Chelsea and Arsenal are currently locked in a tight transfer race for Estevao Willian, the young and promising Brazilian footballer who is already being compared to the inimitable Messi. The Blues are persistent in their pursuit of the Brazilian star. Their determination became even stronger after their rivals Real Madrid signed another young Brazilian talent, Endric.
17-year-old Palmeiras striker Estevao Willian is attracting attention from major European clubs including Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Palmeiras are hoping to fetch at least £26 million for him. Willian, known as “Messignho” (“Little Messi”), performed amazingly last season.
Although Chelsea has not yet entered into negotiations with Palmeiras, the club has already communicated with Estevao’s father and his team.
Estevao made his debut last season alongside Endrick, who has now moved to Real Madrid. Estevao, who plays on the right wing, scored three goals in his first 16 caps and signed a contract until 2026.
Chelsea previously failed to sign Endrick, who became the youngest player to score for the national team at Wembley Stadium as Brazil beat England.
Estevao and Endrick continue in the tradition of Brazilian superstars such as Vinicius Jr., Ronaldo, Romario, Neymar and Kaká.
Chelsea is already active in the Brazilian market, having signed Deivid Washington, Angelo Gabriel and Andrey Santos in the last 18 months.
According to FIFA rules, Estevao will be able to move to Europe after his 18th birthday, which is next April.
